Learn to dance safer and stronger! We’ll cover muscles important to belly dance with regard to great arm flow, elegant posture, juicy core movement and safe hips, backs, knees and ankles. Material covers relevant anatomy, strengthening, stretching and the application of bio-mechanical principles to belly dance movement.
A playful exploration in Egyptian style! You’ll learn earthy, juicy combos for country-style beladi and sassy, light-heated combos for Sha’abi, the social dance style of the urban working class. We’ll break down and drill technique for style-specific movements.
Learn how to listen in shapes, lines and textures and turn music into movement. Paint the perfect picture of the music with spatial, level and repetition concepts for beautiful and interesting spontaneous dance creations – or choreography inspiration!
