AFTER THE WORKSHOPS.. join me for dinner and dancing at The Middle East Restaurant! Performance at 9:30 pm

2:30 – 4:00 pm  – “Bellydance Anatomy & Injury Prevention”  Learn to dance safer and stronger! We’ll cover muscles important to belly dance with regard to great arm flow, posture, juicy core movement and safe hips, knees and ankles. Material covers anatomy, strengthening, stretching and the application of biomechanical principles to belly dance movement.

Mahin holds a B.S. in Exercise & Wellness and is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer.

4:15 – 5:45 pm – “Rhythm & Movement: 3 Combos in 3 Rhythms” – Explore 3 of the most common Middle Eastern rhythms – Beladi, Chiftitelli and Masmoudi Kabir through combinations that reflect their rhythmic structure and mood. Earthy curves, dramatic energy, sensuous style and gorgeous lines – these combos have lots to offer! Knowledge of basic bellydance movement vocabulary is expected. Style specific movements and variations will be broken down & drilled.
