A Belly Dance Improv Intensive
The music is playing and everyone is watching…. now what?
Improvisation in bellydance can be intimidating – even a little scary. But when you learn what to listen for and have effective strategies to translate what you hear into movement, it’s exciting and fun!
Even if you prefer choreography, the tools and strategies you will take home in these workshops will help you unlock the music and explore it more richly for spectacular and engaging belly dance choreographies!
In these workshops you will learn:
“I’ve attended 2 of Mahin’s workshops, both in VA Beach, and loved every moment! She explains the moves and tells about belly dance history and keeps us moving the whole time. I learned so much at both, but my favorite has been the Drum Solo Improv workshop! Such wonderful ideas to use for improv!” – M.L., Danville, VA
“Previous to taking this workshop, I had been concerned that I wasn’t yet ‘good enough’ to take one.Mahin did an excellent job creating a supportive learning environment and meeting every participant at her instructional level. I wish I had done a workshop with her a year ago!” — K. H., Philadelphia, PA
“I took your class in Virginia Beach and loved, loved, loved it! It was so worth my 1.5 hours to get there. Your technique stuck with me. Sometimes I attend workshops and leave forgetting what I learned but with your style of teaching I am remembering and applying what I learned! Thanks, Mahin and I am looking forward to you coming back to my area.” — A.S. Emporia, VA
