How To Plan Smooth-Running Belly Dance Events

This is the latest installment in the occasional series, “Raks Me A Question” where I answer bellydancers’ questions about learning, teaching, performing or doing business in Bellydance Land. From monthly haflas to full-blown theater belly dance shows, there are a lot of logistics for a show producer to handle! Being the coordinator of such an event is really a big job, and it often involves a fair amount of headaches and frustration before you get the applause. That’s the topic of this edition of “Raks Me A Question”…

For the most part it’s smooth sailing and the dancers are great to work with, but every now and then we get someone who just ignores the rules of the event or needs a lot of hand holding.
